Help Center/Automatic verification reminders

Automatic verification reminders

In brief: Stalled clients are nudged at 24h, 72h and before expiry — your team stops chasing.

Clients stall. Certivus chases them so your team doesn't have to.

The cadence

Once a verification invite is sent, an unfinished client is nudged:

  1. 24 hours after the invite,
  2. 72 hours after the invite,
  3. 24 hours before the link expires — this final reminder also extends the link by 7 days, free.

Hard cap of three nudges per case, ever. WhatsApp is used when the client has a phone number and your firm has WhatsApp enabled; otherwise email. It's always the same link — one tap resumes where they left off.

When chasing stops

Instantly, on any of: verification completed or declined, link expired, client archived or deleted, or no email/phone on file. Demo clients are never nudged.

Seeing where a client is stuck

The client profile shows a funnel line under the summary band:

Verification invited 2 days ago · not yet started · 1 reminder sent

"Not yet started" means they haven't opened the check; "started, not yet finished" means they got partway. The dashboard's Chase stale onboarding requests count includes anyone stuck more than 5 days.

Manual resend

You can always resend by hand: client actions menu (⋮) → Resend Invite. It reissues the same link with a fresh 7 days.

Reminders are enabled per firm — if the funnel line shows reminders but none send, ask support whether the capability is switched on.
