Free AML compliance templates for UK accountants

Downloadable templates for AML policy, HMRC audit checklists, and CDD procedures. Ready to adapt for your practice.

What these templates are for

Starting points for the documents MLR 2017 requires a firm to hold: a written AML policy under Regulation 19, and the checklists that evidence a firm-wide risk assessment and inspection readiness. They are drafting aids, not a compliance programme in themselves.

How to use them properly

A template adapted to what your firm actually does will survive inspection; one filed unchanged will not. Supervisors test the gap between a written policy and observed practice, and a generic document that describes controls the firm does not operate is worse than a short one that matches reality.

Where to start

Read the corresponding guide before filling anything in. The AML policy template pairs with the policy guide, and the HMRC audit checklist pairs with the inspection guide, which explains what supervisors actually ask to see.
